What's the best way to spend a lazy Sunday in Paris?
Wake up lazily and smell the coffee.........slip on your jeans, dash across to the corner boulangerie and grab a couple of unhealthy but delicious croissants/pastries (my favourite is the pain au raisin), read the French newspaper (in my case look at the pictures, especially the fashion ones. Fashion is everywhere in Paris you cant escape it). Discuss the art shows in town and choose your days outing.
I chose to go to this "boutique" gallery called Musee Jacquemart Andre where they were showing a collection from artist Eugene Boudin. He was one of the first Impressionist painters that influenced the likes of Monet. He also specialised in Marine landscape paintings. Having just come back from Britany it seemed appropriate to go an surrender to some art appreciation of the region. My niece Usha and her partner Claudio were game.

So we trotted off and enjoyed a splendid display of intricate artworks with amazing lightwork. The cafe at the museum sent us whiffs of Quiche and chocolate.........We couldnt resist it and joined the queue to have our lunch in this very elegant French restaurant.

After that we decided we needed to digest our food before going in for our Massage treatment at the Harmonie!
So we strolled down wide wide Boulevard Haussman window shopping and enjoying the lack of traffic in Paris on this lazy Sunday morning! But enough of Paris.
Usha suggested that we go and try out this cute Thai spa for the rest of the afternoon. And i said why not. A little bit of Oriental after so much Occidental would be good idea!
I found it quite charming to find this little Thai culture tucked away in a quite lane in the centre of Paris doing what they do best.......... placing their magical hands on our bodies. The Thais have massage in their blood.
My therapist JoJo (pronounced YoYo)was as good as it gets. Theres no nonsense here. Get on the bed, lie on your stomach, have your back kneaded with the elbow, lie on your back, slide the oil down your thighs and smack smack the massage is over, Actually is was not a bad treatment at all it just seemed so basic after all the fuss that hotel spas make about the benefits of the treatments, the ayurvedic inspired treatments, the fluff and the so called "evidence"

Its quite refreshing to just have a massage and call it a massage!
